Positive 1250 thread…..

Well, 50cc short but my last one was a 1200 GSA. Had it two years and sold it with 17K miles which were faultless.

35200 since September 22

little annoyances – bung in the drive shaft keeps falling out, the fact the shaft is to be changed at the end of this month, software updates, emergency call fault is constant

so far none of the issues reported by others on the other threads

That’s great to hear, I’m genuinely pleased to see one being used for its intended purpose and it proves they can get it right.

What rear shock have you fitted ??

Not done much miles on it as only had my 1250 since December and started riding it in March.
But so far i love it. The RT is a real mile muncher. And for a big old bus the engine has some good get up and go to it. Also 20mph in 3rd with cruise and the engine is happy to pot along.
I also fitted 1250GS handle bars on it.
No regrets from me in buying my first BMW. 👍

Never ridden an RT but wouldn’t mind trying one.

1200RT LC was my all time favourite bike. Only thing stopping me now is they are out of my price bracket.

I really wanted an LC350, but couldn’t afford. Bought a brand new white/red RD400 from HamYam near Newcastle for £700. Still loved it, but always had a hankering for LC with Allspeeds!

Went with a mate to pick up a crated 500LC from Coburn & Hughes not long before they closed down.
He still has it today, got it out of the crate a few years back, now in his hallway.
Refuses to sell despite being offered big money numerous times.

I had a 400. Brilliant bike.
