I understand that there are 2 power connections on the GS, one under the seat and the other by the headstock. Can anyone tell me the operational differences between the two? Currently my TT Rider is permanently connected via routed cable to the under seat socket. I’m thinking it would be better on the headstock one, but I’m not sure how it’s controlled\switched.
Chris,
I've recently acquired a TTR and am currently waiting for a plug that will allow me to connect the power direct to the purpose made socket which is taped up with the wiring loom and just visible near the headstock.
Check out www.motorcycleinfo.co.uk for a 'how to'. It's got the part number you'll need.
I've had the devils own job trying to get this plug though as BMW class it as a 'special tool'
That said, I eventually phoned Ocean BMW in Plymouth on Monday. They new exactly what I was after and they've posted it on today. You could also try Stumpy on this forum. He can get them as well
