power from bike to gps

The only thing Im short of now is power from my bike to GPS Ive got a car adapter but can I get a power adapter to fit the power socket off my bike if so where from & how much please?
Looks like a standard socket into my gps

If you have a 1200 there is a take off point for power on the headstock although it does need a paticular type of plug.

Its that plug on the bike thats my problem @ the momentas Ive only the standard fag lighter adapter plug & I want a smaller socket then Im sorted (I think)

Malc, does your plug have a red piece near its base, if so that will twist off and you will be left with the small plug that fits the GS socket.

Wire the GPS power cable via the igition and a suitable fuse and leave it on the bike, you don't need to use the power socket then.

Simple solution...........go to motorworld(car assesory shop) and buy the female part of a car cig lighter in a plastic coating,buy the male part of the bike jack plug(from motorworld cos BMW are a rip off)........wire it up and away ya go!!
