You used to be able to get an OEM cable to wire into the factory fitted socket to enable fitting a second socket. It's this available for the LC?

All 1200GS have had canbus so not sure that's an issue.

I fitted the socket into the plastic panel below the seat on the LH side. I have simply connected it across the battery and mainly use it for heated clothing. If you're concerned about leaving the socket live it is easy to pull the fuse when it is not in regular use, or of course you can do a pukka job and fit a relay triggered by a lead that is live with ignition on. Pulling the fuse works for me

This is the one I'm going to use as it has the spring loaded cap which I think it's better on a bike for keeping water out and won't just come off.

I think that this item is available for the LC, Rainbow showed me one a couple of years ago, cost was about £24.00.
Why not ring a dealer?

Rainbow have an "approved" thing, with a fuse included, Leigh recommends to fit a fuse in the line.

The canbus shuts my 2 air pumps down.
