Right I have the chance of a second hand power bronze seat. The question I have are they any good? I find the standard seat a bit uncomfortable.

I tried
Standard GSA. A bit too tall for me, rather hard and a bit narrow.
Kahedo low - Horrible riding position with ape hanger bars and scrunched legs so that lasted under 1 mile.
Sargent standard - People rave about these but the standard height dug into my thighs at the edge and the pan shape width made it hard to reach the floor. I never actually drove the bike just sitting parked was enough to avoid that one.
Standard GS - A bit soft for me and mine had a sort of block at the back right under my coccyx. I did maybe 100 miles with it.
Standard height Kahedo - Absolutely fab. Comfortable, no sides digging and reach to floor same as standard GS.

so once again you go off on a tangent,he is asking about a power bronze seat:blast

surprised you didnt tell him to strip his rear subframe and powder coat his hubs as well:rolleyes:

Thanks Bendy!

Skygod has a Powerbronze seat and has done 1000's of miles in perfect comfort. I'm sure he will be along and rave about it but I know he rates them highly.

Problem with seats is what fits and suits one persons anatomy may be a total pain in the backside for someone else, even a standard seat can be reasonably comfortable on say a low setting but uncomfortable on a higher one.
A seat that seemed fine with standard bars can become uncomfortable if bar risers are fitted to the bike as the change in posture means that you are putting pressure on a different part of your posterior.
With seats it is a case of buy it and try it, but in my opinion you cannot beat an Airhawk for comfort

I bought two used seats and sold on when they didn't suit me. Some you know instantly if no good so tried on someone else's bike

:agree as many I found standard seat was too soft, got a Sargent at 1st was not convinced but (or butt) after some miles got used to it,Iv done over 600 miles last week it's a very compfy seat.
It's best to try it even if you don't like it resale & try another, recently seen new powerbronze on eBay for £200 buy now

I am selling a sergeant seat as it's a pain for me - much prefer the standard seat - I am tempted by the Powerbronze - looks comfy but not sure I want to risk £200 to see if it's better than the standard.
