I am about to put on my third set of PR4 GT .
Be careful with tyre pressures, the rear does not like it if you run it less than 42psi (recommended). I had the rear step out a few times when I was running it at 36psi. I now run 36/42 regardless of loading and have had no problems.

Bit of a difference between 42 and 36! I felt the rear at 42 was over inflated which flattened the centre off prematurely on my first set.
I have since just done 5K on a rear at 40 with no difference in handling but didn't square off.

No stock of the pr4 trail tyres is that why some are fitting the GT version or fitting them for another reason ???
How much are you paying fitted I was Quoted £224 for a pair of trails fitted on the bike ( with £25.00 mitchelin discount) good deal or not

Now offering a good deal on the METZELER tyres anybody fitted these

People fit them because the trail version squares off too quickly. 3 or 4 thousand of my 11 thou last year were two up fully loaded. I find that regardless of what type of riding, wet or dry, they just grip giving huge confidence.

Tread pattern - 2CT (Dual Compound Technology)

The standard and GT versions have the same tread layout, with the front offering a wide 40% band of medium compound across the middle and 20% of soft compound on the shoulders. The rear sports a hard compound across 20% of the middle to help with longevity and the medium compound covering 40% each side of this. The trail version is the same front and rear, with a 60% band of medium compound across the middle and 20% of soft compound on the shoulders. It all makes a lot of sense when you think about it.

i run mine at 35/40. I only do solo riding. I found that at 42 at the the rear the bike wasn't confidence inspiring. Didn't feel planted. At 40 at the rear it felt fantastic wet or dry. Probably all in the mind and you'll get different answers from different people and it may feel different for you.

Great prices to be had on Anakee3 at the moment with the free fitting. One of my local Michelin stockists is doing free fitting 'til the end of March.

I can get ride in ride out for €225 for my 07 GSA.

I have ridden my bike hard on the road and they are the perfect tyre for the GS imho, rain or shine. 10/10.

The bikes gone awaiting s1000xr but it was always the reccommended pressures from memory, 2.5 bar and 2.9 bar. I never had any issues with the tyre and I do ride quite hard.

I did a Scottish trip last summer at a "spirited pace" along with a ZX10 & an S1000RR. Tyres were 36/40 and bike was leant so far over at times almost scraping the pegs, that my mates thought the bike was going down. It just felt so stable and composed. Will need to be a special new tyre to make me change.

The pr4s I used were dead in just over 3k, better than the stock anakees and good in both wet and dry at the nurburgring just crap on miles, gone to trail attack 2 now ktm spec and all seems good
