Fek me - just ordered a pair of TKC80's for my GS from Universal Tyres. Price is now £207. Compare this with the 2009 price of £150. Adjusting for VAT change brings the price to £207 today compared to £156 in 2009, which makes for a 33% price hike. Seems that Continental have upped the prices considerably as there is nothing else suitable for the GS. Total w*nkers @ Continental.

Have a look at my "Pack of three" threads from a while back. 2 backs and a front for £150.

I was told that Conti had put the price of a pair up by £28 +vat just because no one else sold them for the GS range.

It's about time we done something about it,there's enough of us.

Watch this space...

Cant find your thread mate. Any chance of a link?

Today I paid £327 for 2 rears and a front + £6.95 delivery. Conti have robbed me. :blast

watching ... If there is a deal to be had count me in. The Karoo is a good alternative but I found that the rear doesnt last as long as the TKC.

Seek and (like tyres) ye shall find

Here

How did I do that?

Ta. I just tried searching on the multiple words "Pack of three", but the shyte search engine on this site doesnt let you...

That deal was some time ago >5yrs....will be interesting to see what kind of deal you can throw together now, given that Conti have upped their prices for GS size tyres.

The way I understand it, is that rubber prices have 'like fule' gone up quite a bit recently. Along with other nesassery consumables  Hance the price hike.

Val.

PS: I think I still have one or two part worn TKCs if your interested.

It's nothing to do with rubber prices, otherwise everything else would have gone through the roof as well.

Sheer old profiteering by conti, nothing less.

PM Sent about your part worns mister:thumb2

Yup. This kind of behaviour yields short term gain but causes a lot of brand damage and long term hit to sales. So fekkin short sighted; just like the 1939 German invasion of Poland. Typical Krauts.
