Bought a pair of FF50's to install, found the power cable exit point is on the left side on both lamp housings, is this a real "pair"? I was expecting lamps sold as a pair to have one with left and one with right side cable exit which would keep the wiring neat when fitted by having the cables exit on the inside closest to the bike. Is not possible to turn one lamp housing over due to the lens fitment.

Yes, that's the way they are. The holes where the cables exit are on the left-hand side rear of both lamps. It obviously makes better economic sense for Hella to produce one lamp shell rather than handed ones.

Dumb answer....or maybe not!

Try turning one lamp upside down then the wires will exit the housing on opposite sides.
Not very familiar with the light, but you may be able to turn the mounting bracket around also. You can do this with PIAA's.
