Bit of a weird issue.
In anticipation of receiving my R1250rs, I thought I would download the connected app, but read that using the cradle can damage some phones. No worries, I have my previous phone I can use, not put a Sim in it and then just hotspot to my new phone for data when out and about - thats the theory anyway.
Have loaded the app and have my BMW ID all set up through motorrad website. App loads up and allows me to d/load maps, change settings etc. But, if I try to login, I just get a spinning circle and the login screen never loads. I then tried using my new phone and it all work perfectly, logged it no issues.
My "older" phone is a Huawei P20, so not ancient, but not cutting edge and I can see nothing to suggest this phone is not compatible - if it wasn't, I wouldn't expect to even to be able to download the app and get all the other functions working. Have deleted and re-loaded app a couple of times but no difference.
I know the app gets mixed reviews, but just want to try it out before going down other routes, I also have the cradle, so figured it worth a try to see if it suits.
