Puncture sealant

Sorry if this has been done before, but I am about to have two new tyres in prep for a long tour on the continent (Tourances £200 drive in/out at Grippers). I have been advised to have slim (puncture sealant) at the same time.

I would appreciate any comments. I had heard it can play havoc with wheel balance and cause vibrations etc.
