No problem Steve, I have seen some gear from vvme and did not think it was as good as ours, in fact we tested some burners and the solder on them was very poor.

Les,
Thanks for that - I'l tell Andy to keep an eye on it - no one will be more peeved than him if it turns out to be poor standard .

I was impressed with his write up, if he wants a HID50 Ultra Slim 35 HiD to run along side as a comparison and post his findings let me know :thumb2

Les,
Will let him know .
He's very knowledgable about most thing bike related , both mechanical and electrical , and keen on doing it himself .
He 's helped me [ for that , read done it for me ] fit a new coil when mine packed up in November [ rode 90 miles to my house to do so ] , fitted new discs and pads for me [ that included using the dreaded heat gun to warm up the loctite [ guess who picked up a hot disc:augie:augie:augie and soon put it down again ] , and also came to pick me up , then rode all the way down to Builth Wells so I could collect the bike when I bought it .
He's just got himself set up with a rig to put his own tyres on too .

HID Lighting Upgrade

Having fitted a dip beam HID kit with great ease and passed the MOT with the inspector commenting on how well set up it was I am somewhat concerned at getting flashed by about 50% of motorists when running after dark with them clearly wanting me to dip.:augie

The set up beam pattern is spot on, am I just being too sensitive ? Anyone else getting hassle?:nenau

HiDs can be turned lower than normal lights and still give more light, but the best at the moment seem to be the H7R Burner which eliminate a lot of the dazzle of the lights.

HID Dazzle

Les,

Many thanks, I'll try some adjustments and see what the response from the other road users is ..

Cheers,

Mark

if after that I have the H7R in stock

Now I'm confused.........

I have been following the HID debates for a few weeks and am on the edge of ordering (I emailed you a few weeks ago asking if you did a single bulb kit - which you replied to very quickly. Thanks Les.)

What exactly is the difference between an H7R and an H7 - I guess the R is for Reflected??? If it reduces the glare is light the output any lower?

Which is the right one for my 1200GS?

I am also still not sure about upgrading the main beam, especially after some adverse comments (hence the question about a single bulb kit). I am travelling every day in the dark now so really want to get my HID ordered and fitted.

Help! Do I need a main beam HID? And the H7R???

You might try the rest but you have to go for the best..................... LES

H7R is the new anti dazzle bulb, it stops the side glare that gives the dazzle on the reflector lens bikes, so best in the dip beam and put a normal HiD in the high beam, if you want to do the high beam.

Have a look on the hid50.com site for more info and then mail me at my gmail address for any more help.

This is a car kit that has two of everything in the box - so you can fit one to the bike and sell the other on EBAY to recoup your outlay.

Good quality kit and good price .

Steve

the vvme h4-3 bi-xenon hid kit??? does it fit to your fatory lights....????

which one do you buy???? 35w or 55w... i heard that the VVME 55w Kits are not recommended for smaller fog light housings because they tend to concentrate a large amount of heat in a small area..it may melt your housing...

i'd like to buy this h7 single beam 35w hid kit
