Question re: Hella or other Aux lights

This one goes out to anyone that has installed auxillary lights...

I am making a set of brackets to fit the F650GS bikes to hold aux lights. Could some one please tell me what size the screws/bolts are that hold the lights typically are? I have a pair of cheapos and they take a M5 with approximately 1.25mm between centes. Would this cover most aux lights?

I'm sure you mean 1.25 inches between centres. Hella us a single hole in the middle to which is an M6 IIRC.

err I meant 12.5mm or 1/2".

Any body know about the FF and PIAA ones?

I think the best bet for Hellas is a single hole, but 1/2 inch sounds too close to me for two holes. that would only leave 7.5mm between the 2 holes which is tiny. At least 1 to 1.5 inches would be normal IMHO. I doubt there is a standard for this type of thing.
