Aux lights install: I have purchased two sets of LED aux lights for my R1150 GSA. How have you (that have installed) connected the wiring to do this and where have you taken the feeds from? The one set of lights have three settings, 1 – low, 2 – high. 3 – strobe. I am thinking to have these on with the low beam with a switch somewhere to toggle the settings. I am also thinking to have a dash light to show the different settings if I can achieve that, in particular to see when the lights are on strobe, I think this setting is great for filtering. The other set of LED lights will come on with high beam. TIA for any input. Ride safe.

I have a set of auxiliary lights on my 1150 similar to those you mention, ie high, low, strobe. I also think the strobe function would be good for filtering but haven’t had cause to use it yet. All my ancillary equipment takes its feeds from a ‘Fuseblocks’ mounted next to the battery. I’ve found this to be a bullet proof supply solution for everything from lights, to Sat Nav, to heated vests etc. From there the power goes through a bar mounted switch to the lights.

Sounds to me like you would need to go through a relay to switch between power on to separate lamps, taking the trigger from the positive feeds to the lower and main beams. Not quite sure how you could then also switch between modes on the low beam activated (strobe) lamps though.

I wired mine through a three way switch on my dashboard running through a relay. In the middle setting they’re off, in the top position they come on with main beam and the bottom position they’re on with dipped beam. Works great. :thumb2
