Is it possible to fit a front wheel from an 1100/1150GS into the front end of an 84 on R80RT with yokes for a '78 RT. What brake disks are needed to use with the brembo calipers 2 or 4 pot? Bastard of a job in the true meaning of the word.

F*cked if I know :nenau

Have you got anything off the same bike?

The 1100/1150 front wheel will only allow disks specific to the bike to be used because of the way the disk mounts on the hub. Calipers varied between the 1150 models. I'm sure somebody will know but I think there were 3 different calipers used on the 1150 and two different disks. Obviously the caliper mountings are different. I would imagine the hubs too wide for airhead forks but thats just guessing..

The 84 on top yolks are designed to fit inside the top yolk (I think) where the 78 top yolk uses the top nut to secure the stanchion. The 78 forks are ATE and these have a smaller hole for the top nuts than the 81 - 84 bikes.

Pheew! struggling here. Somebody bail me out!

2 Reasons.

Big pile of bits in the corner crying out to be used on yet another RT to GSish twin shock conversion.

Why not
