Anyone know how to disable the quickshifter on a 1300gs?

Or just don’t use itUnplug it

Clutchless upshifts are quickshifter upshifts. Are you saying you want to do it like back in the 80s? You bought the wrong bikeDid a bit of reading around. On the Triumph you just go into the menus and disable it.
But then again, the Triumph one is actually pretty smooth, so you probably wouldn't want to.
Yes, clearly, you can just use the clutch. But what you can't do is put any pressure on the gear shifter in preparation for a quick and smooth manual change. Also clutchless upshifts become quickshifter upshifts far too easily.
From what I've read, unplugging it results in a warning light.
Now... If only I could switch off the linked brakes without also torpedo-ing the ABS.

Neither is the ABS.In enduro pro mode the brake balancing is not active
Every bike is a compromise. You bought the wrong bike
I agree its a fuck awful waste of space - check motoscan - possible they have the ability to switch it offAnyone know how to disable the quickshifter on a 1300gs?
Literally takes up zero space. WTF are you talking about? Speaking of persistent irritants....I agree its a fuck awful waste of space - check motoscan - possible they have the ability to switch it off
as with a Triumph it ought to be in the user menus of the instrument cluster - the only peculiarity there is the Triumph one works unobtrusively, so you can leave it on without it being a persistent irritant
Not if the quick shift is anywhere near as bad as the one on my 1200GSA lcStrangest request ever
My experience with the 1300 GS one is that it can be something approaching smooth going up from 3rd, 4th or 5th. But you really have to be careful about how much throttle you're using at the time otherwise it jolts quite badly. Also, if you lack any conviction in the process it occasionally serves you up a false neutral. It doesn't happen so much these days as I have learned to work around it.Can’t fault my 1250GSA, what’s so bad about the 1300 ?
