Does anyone know if it is possible to restrict a 100GS to 33bhp?

yes it is my one restricted ather my bike test
speak to your bike dealer they my be able to get it for you
you just get the restricter kit it is to washers one in ether side of the rubber pip between the carb and the engine the bike will run fine less acceleration

Thanks sean for the sensible answer,, my son is considering a 100 and we are not sure if it can be restricted,looked at lots of options, however didnt know what was involved,chris

they are just to large metal washers 5cm a cross and the in side hole is 2cm you will needed the paper work as well if stopped by police all gets done at a bike shop

you don't actually need a certificate. It's up to the Police to prove you have them fitted. And the Insurance company are only interested in you money. If it's proven the restrictor isn't fitted then they don't have to pay out and will simply say thanks for the £400.qid you loose.


If you can find or have made and fit yourself, the correct size washers you might save quite a few quid too.
