Has anybody got much experience of delving inside these?
My RHS switch was being rather stubborn about coming apart until I turned my back. Then I heard that wonderful sound of the guts of it hitting the floor. :banghead:
I think I've only lost the little ball from the lights switch, but if anyone has any pictures of the insides (or bits) I'd love to hear from you.
When will I friggin learn......?

Ahhhh BMW 1990s switchgear. Designed by the worlds greatest ergonomist, who had never ridden a bike!

Having just removed all my BMW switchgear i may have the information you require. Let me know what you need shots of. Here is a starter for 10....

Wow, always used to be the one thing to avoid - Italian switchgear! I guess the world has moved on. Looks good too.
Anyway, thanks for the offer, but I finally got it all back together yesterday. Even found the missing ball bearing. It's 3mm if anyone else is ever dopey enough to lose one....
Cheers

Personally I much prefer bmw's 90's switchgear to anything else. Very easy to use and the operation very logical. Bit of a shame that they've gone back to conventional stuff.

I guess it is one of those marmite sort of things. But having to bugger around with my throttle and brake hand every time i turn a corner or change lanes seems somewhere between annoying and dangerous to me. Maybe living in London doesn't help with lots of corners and intersections..... Still i am happy now :) but i had better not thread hijack i'll start one with my updates shortly.
