I bought a caliper off ebay for $50.00 US and had a friend do the machining. Works great and looks stock.
:clap

I wouldn't say the Brembo 4-pot caliper conversion was "great" - my front brake was transformed from "very poor" to "poor" even though I'd also fitted a braided stainless steel line and an EBC floaring disc. With my R100GS-PD rebuild I have completely refurbished the brake master cylinder and the caliper with new seals and pistons so once it's up and running I expect a leap from "poor" to "average":rob

The way to make a four pot Brembo work is to use a 14mm master cylinder (which you can't get for a GSPD, you have to bore out a 13mm and use a 14mm piston kit) together with Lucas TRW sintered pads, then you can comfortably 2 finger brake.

This at least is my solution to the problem, and works for me, no doubt there are others!

I put a 16mm on mine with the brembo 4 pot its one finger breaking I have one allso on a 13mm pump thats pulling it right in to breake bothe are still not a touch on my hp2 that has a 16mm radiel with a brembo 4pot and 320mm disc so I guese the biger disc helps !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do these calipers seize up ,took mine apart tonight and managed to get the offending piston out ,took the good side out and put it back in no problem cleaned the bad one up and even with the seal out it was tight the last 10 mm or so till it was fully home ,do the pistons get miss shaped or is it the caliper body that is the problem.:thumb

Mostly I think Salt gets behind the seal and presses the rubber against the piston making it difficult for it to retract

I don't like those bakelite things at all

Pete Keys was good enough to send me one and it's jammed solid on one side

I'm normally good at getting these apart but you can't grip the pistons at all

This is a mates K1100LT thats been run all winter without him knowing about getting in and flushing the callipers out

If you are careful and take your time they do clean up rather well
