R100RS/RT front brake upgrade

Daydreamers question. Has anyone upgraded the standard Brembos on an R100 twin disc front end with multiple pot calipers ? Did a Google but found nothing of substance.

Funny you should mention that. I'm planning on contacting pretech http://www.pretech.co.uk about a pair for my project bike. England kev had a caliper made for his st, the last time I asked him about it he was very pleased.

ulternativly I have 2 sets of licke new 4 pot brembos thier if thats any good to any of you at a verry fair price

I've just spent partof the afternoon fitting a 4 pot caliper and new goodrich front hose to my 89gs. I took it out for a little run to test and scrub some of the newness off the pads.
I have to say first impressions are positive. However what I have just noticed is that the brake pipe and bleed nipple are the opposite way around to those in the pictures above. Will this make any difference?

Perhaps this isn't relevant, but I deliberately reversed the positions of the brake pipe and the bleed nipple on the single pot rear Brembo of my '82 RS for the sake of (much) better access for bleeding as it's a bugger of a job to bleed on this model. I believe that's something to do with the routeing of the line from the master cylinder, but whatever it is it's difficult to purge the air on this model. Having said that I would imagine yours, being on the front, should be a lot easier anyway.

What I'm trying to say after all that is that I haven't found any problems with reversing the hose and nipple after 20,000 miles.
