R1100 2003 servo??

The write up is in the technical section, but basically, yes. .. used a 5 inch section of brass brake pipe formed into a U bend on the front brake line junction
Pretty sure I could of fixed it in less time than I have been looking for that Write up and still cannot find it..🤯

You don’t have to feck with the electrics using the parts that cost £3 :D
Best bit of advice Fae you guys... Don't feck with the wiring...👍 I must have been short of numberplate...🤣

I am working through this exact same thing. The motor for the rear ABS has failed on mine, (bought with the ABS fault) was seized from lack of oil changes and mosture in the ABS unit. It has burned out the motor winding during my faulkt-finding excersises and let the smoke out of the motor.

My symtoms are (were) similar to the above, front pump working on the lever, rear pump not energising even though the light was working therefore the switch was fine.

I have stripped mine down and found the motor dead. I am now looking for a donor motor from a dead ABS pump so if anyone has a removed dead pump knocking about I will be keen to hear from them please.

I will probably do a write-up on it all just to make a permanent record. The pump is not such a complicated part that an enthusiastioc home mechanic cannot work on it.

Are we talking about this ABS servo unit?

I have several spare motor/pump assemblies which have been stripped cleaned , reassembled and tested.

Yes Ian that unit. So far as I know I just need a motor/pump but I'd be interested in a replacement or exchange unit if the price is reasonable. I've actually already ordered a roll of winding wire to re-wind the motor that's burned out because I wasn't confident in finding a spare. The commutator, brushes and rest of it is in good condition as it's a low miles bike.

Please send me a PM so we don't take over Max's thread.

I don’t think I can send you a PM, you have to be a subscriber.

I’m happy to send you qty 2 used serviced and tested motor pump units Free of charge. To use at your discretion. I’ll even throw in the postage and packaging.

So you might want to consider subscribing. It’s money well spent.

Ian

That's very generous Ian I've paid my subscription and I'll send you a PM.

Pete.

Ah! I see the source of my spare parts has grown since I last visited.

From experience about 10% of those will provide useable parts.

:D
