R1100GS, 2000.

My 1100 was registered 1st July 1999, it was £9,070 with panniers.

By the end of July the 1150 was in the showrooms, it was £750 cheaper than the 1100.
My first 1150 was according to the supplying dealer originally marked down to be a press demo bike, they were approached by the original buyer who was so desperate to have one of the first bikes privately owned in the UK that the dealer pulled some strings and the buyer payed a premium price.
He worked on the rigs and the bike despite being registered in late June 1999 and ready to go was not picked up from the dealers until the November !!!!!!!!
He then did less than 1000 miles per year in the next 3 years of owning it.

I rode an 1150 demo in late 99 as a tempter while my 11 was in for a service... Felt tons better in some respects and as a bike instructor I wanted to keep it... Weirdly many of the perceived benefits of the time haven't been so apparent with all the other 11's I've had since and selling the 1150 range for a while...😆

Yes I occasionally check to see if it’s still on the road.

@Billd was the last owner I knew of but sold it a few years ago I believe.
Yes I sold it to a young guy that came around to have a look at it with his father 2 or 3 years ago. It’s one I wish I had kept to be honest

Me too.... it was that bike that was responsible for UKGSer being created..... I owned it for 15 years.
