R1150GS Single Spark ABS (non-servo) Nov2001 Mandarin Yellow - Reg YR51 WNO
I have owned this bike for 9 years and put 11k miles on it. I have thoroughly enjoyed riding her but following a detached retina two years ago I have decided to hang up my helmet.
I think it's in good condition for its age but have a look at the pics and judge for yourself
Mileage currently 44,667 as of 28/04/2025 - currently sorned.
MOT’d 21st June 2024 with no advisories and only done 25 miles since. Will put through an MOT before sale.
R1200 matched injectors fitted with a John Gemi Stage 8 ECU chip
GSA screen with added flip to reduce turbulence. Side winglets
Rugged Roads fork protectors (fork lowers in good condition underneath)
Touratech sidestand Big Foot
Headlight guard
Metzeler Tourance tyres fitted July 21 so 1600 miles done on them
Exide ES18 fitted 2019 and maintained on Optimate
Work carried out July21 at 43k miles (1,600 miles ago) at a cost of £1400
Bevel Box to swingarm bearing upgrade kit
Goodridge brake hose kit front and rear and brake fluid replaced. ABS has never given any issues and works as it should.
Alternator belt replaced
Brembo pads front and rear
Fork seals, dust covers and fork oil replaced
L/H throttle body overhauled
Service inc fuel filter & valve adjustment
K&N air filter fitted
Before the above work, the bike was serviced regularly by me, a mechanical engineer. Engine / gearbox / FD oils and filter changed and valve clearances adjusted where necessary.
The bike runs great and pulls very well with the injector / chip / K&N setup. No issues with brakes or handling. I’ve never had any issues with the ABS and had the brake fluid replaced with the new brake lines.
Not so good bits
Left hand grip has a small split and both are showing wear but they work fine on both settings and are nice and toasty
Pillion peg frame hangers showing slight surface corrosion
Wheels are generally good but spokes are not stainless so chrome flaking off a little in places
Usual paint flaking on underside of cylinder heads and front cover.
Scratch on right hand side of fuel tank but not through base coat so no rusting.
Asking price is £2,700 ono.
Bike is stored indoors at my work near Glasgow Airport.
