Any idea what MPG your 1150GS Adventure returns?

Best / worst?

On the motorway?

Cheers! :beerjug:

44 to 46 MPG regardless of what I do or how loaded it is. This is quite a nice number because I know how much fuel the tank will take for any given milage as it converts Miles to Litres easily.

e.g.

100 miles = 10 litres
280 miles = 28 litres

40-42 around town (commuting)
45 ish 'normal' riding
50 cruising at 70 on the motorway.

Tank range (30ltr tank):

240ish around town.
300+ on the motorway.

Bang on 45 mpg about 6 weeks ago. Just had its 6,000 mile service, so it will be interesting to see what I'm getting now. :thumb

Never normally bothered to work it out but while waiting for a ferry home once I was bored.

Over 2.7K miles that trip, one-up but fully loaded, 56 mpg. Would have been 60.1 but the last 600+ miles were an Auto-route blast to try and meet a ferry.

Until that last part most miles were on very minor back roads where speeds were low.

:bounce1 :clap 56mpg+ on a 1600m trip around haggis land in sep mix of roads m6 to cart tracks in sky and all speeds from 5mph to 120 . in be tween one up and loaded

Well you have all confirmed that it isn't just me that gets only 40plus to the gallon. Last time I checked the bike returned 43/gallon. :bounce1

Thanks

hmmm, interesting. I guess mine is around 45mpg, but I do wonder how accurate the fuel gauges are as I always fill up after approx 250 miles, i.e. when 1 bar showing. Never had the nerve to carry on driving until it stops. Would be great to break the 300 mile barrier on a tankful - just to boast to my sportsbike mates...tee-hee.

Pretty much 50mpg every time across a mixed bag of roads. However when you factor into the equation that the speedo is 10% optimistic that then becomes 45mpg.

Not quite, I use a GPS a lot when riding and strangely the speedo is around 10% but the oddometer (On mine at least) is maybe 4-5% out

Oh ok. I like the sound of that if that's what it turns out to be on mine. I haven't got a GPS you see to check it against. I always assumed BM were trying to increase sevicing revenue for their dealerships by 10%. Perhaps I've been harsh and it's only 5%! :D

About 195 miles to the reserve light on normal riding on a full tank. On a motorway, with panniers, going at a constant 100, no passenger, I get about 140 miles to a std full tank.

i've done 28L in 200 miles a few times. 270 miles till the light comes on, on fast roads. and 350+ if i'm not in a hurry, on the 1150GSA

Consumption

Most ive done is 233 to a tankfull 1 bar showing on the gauge occasionaly as it was sloshing around braking etc. I'd love to get 300+ from a tankfull  :nenau
