What's the differences, power, economy etc?
I never had any issues with surging or non-servo ABS on my 2003 single spark bike and fuel consumption was always more than 50-52 mpg, the only issues I had was corrosion under the powder coating. Many thanks for the replies guys, so basically not much other than a bit of a flat spot.
I agree and Ive owned 3 of each model. The 1150’s are better1150’s are the tits!
All went downhill with the 12’s. Way too much electronic gagetry to go wrong.
A new motronic chip from GS John in Greece is likely the answer to any surging.
Their you go again, you and your infamous garageI have a pair of twin spark R1100S cylinder heads tucked away somewhere in the garage, plus a spare pair of coils, 2 into 1 headers and a link pipe. I fancied the challenge of changing my 2000 model single spark into a twin spark but still haven’t got around to it…
The twin spark ecu has a small delay in firing the second plugs, to ignite unburnt fuel for cleaner emissions. There was no performance advantage so my idea was to simply run both plugs simultaneously from 4 coils.
