R1200gs Oil leak

not sure about what type of warranty you have, they gave me an increased liability waranty as they'd messed up initially. the gear position sensor was replaced 2 years ago. I wouldnt think it would be too costly to have the unit replaced if you did have to cough up the cash but that's a guess.

I think that the shocks are only covered for 30,000? or somewhere around there.

Pretty good, no major work

right hand multifunctional swith replaced around 30,000 (under extended waranty)
Gearbox position sensor replaced around 30,000 (under extended waranty)
Three rear shocks! last one replaced at 92,000 (2 done under extended waranty, 3rd one was a 2nd hand one off ebay
Instrument cluster changed as the back light had gone on one side around 60,000 (under extended waranty)
Gear select linkage had corroded so much it stuck in gear but not a problem to clean up.

not bad really as it's been dropped 5 times getting it out of tight positions as I'm a clumsy lump, ussually the garage, once on a slow turn out on the road and 5 times off road. seems to bounce well

That's impressive :bounce1

Makes a nice change reading about a bike that just keeps on going, I am sure that many others do the same though probably not with your sort of mileage on them,

Thanks

Would you tell me the part no. of your oil pressure switch,12617686501, does not appear to have a place to plug the connector into? I called my local usa dealer and was quoted 93.00 us vs 16 for the part i listed.

Thanks
