r1200gs worth the savings

had a r1150gs years ago and sold to go to smaller offroad bikes. Currently have a norden 901 exp but not driving offroad much and have always missed the boxer.
looking at a 2018 r1200gs rallye with the short suspension (23k km) and a 2022 r1250gs trophy (14kkm)
Both bikes in great shape . I'm thinking the savings in cost for the offer 1200 which is about 1/3 or $8000 cad $ is probably worth it considering the bikes are not really that different. I always figured a 1200 had ample power and I am tall so would like the sport suspension on the older bikes
Opinions ?

Yes. (Except maybe coating finishes on some surfaces).

If as you say you are tall why on earth would you be looking at at bike with the short suspension? Unless of course you have very short legs.
I’m 5’8” and can’t flat foot my 2023 R1250 GSA with the luggage on. It isn’t the lowered, short suspension one.

Height has nothing to do with whether you can flat foot a bike,

Its inside leg & arch, i can get one foot down with a lower lowered seat on my 2011

Sorry my mistake I meant to say I can flat foot my GSA. I did mention that having short legs might affect it.
