R1300 Bmw luggage

One day, just one day , BMW will release a bike that is actually finished and not subject to instant recalls or not have important accessories available.
Good job they made it less suitable for touring and then remove the option to have luggage any time soon . Genius.

It will never happen whilst engineers are involved. Engineers will always improve/change/alter their designs.....it can always be different and better. and thus will never finish development. So management, simply, set a launch date, knowing there may be issues that need fixing.

If you have any long-term experience of buying new iterations of the GS you know that's the reality. I cannot tell a lie!

OK, finally got round to fitting the panniers, all pretty easy

I stashed the central locking cables inside the black tail section

The bracket for the exhaust side foot peg hanger is a piece of cake compared to the 1200/1250 which was a bit of a nightmare

Yes, you need to remove the vario supports but it's dead easy

Was looking yesterday at SHAD kit, as we have a local stockist. Quite like the SHAD SH59X Top Box Aluminium, but only know one other person who has used their kit and can give any kind of feedback. Did they give any feedback as to when their expandable panniers may be out?

May have to go and pin down my dealer about the delay to the BMW kit.

Have you expanded the top box ?? Must be a very large helmet if you have & it won't go in.

Got an XL SCHUBERTH C5 in a BMW topbox in the dealers. Biggest issue for me now is likely to be delivery time of luggage.

It fits in side box when extended
It probably would fit in topbox my shoei neotec 2 but it’s tight
And it would mean moving bits out
Where the new SHAD expanded topbox is 58 litres

Just for an update, I spoke to my dealer today, and he said that according to Motorrad they are now saying mid to late April for the luggage. Just waiting for a price and availability from my local SHAD dealer now, as I can obviously cancel the order for the VARIOs

42Ltr with the Givi adapter rack all partly paid for by BMW .
