R45 Re-Commission

Did another 100 miles on the R45 today pushing towards the 600 mile mark when I will re-torque the heads and set the valve clearances again
When I got home I found a little issue :
When I originally stripped the bike I drained the fork oil and re-filled with new but left the original seals in place
I knew I should have changed them !
Anyway new ones ordered and will be fitted next week one received from Motobins
Sunday morning's job will be to remove the forks and strip them down ready for fitting the new seals , felt wipers and the various fill/drain crush washers

8am and forks removed and stripped 
I'm really enjoying seeing this little bike's new lease of life.
Forks rebuilt and back on the bike
Re-torque heads and check/adjust valve clearances tomorrow
Re-check carburettor balance and then the bike is going on a trailer heading South West to it's new owner on Saturday
Next up is a R1150RT and then back to another airhead if I can find a suitable R100RS

Wow! You moved that one on quickly. Some lucky chap is getting a very well sorted bike there

Good luck with the RT, its a good bike by the looks of it. I was tempted to buy it myself alongside my current one but decided against it mainly due to garage space.

Depends on how hard you look
The guy selling his dad's bikes was sad he could not achieve the 1500 pounds he wanted for the three bikes. John fancied the 22k mile RS, I would have been happy with the 750's the blue one would have helped with a rebuild of my 160k mile R100/7. Sadly not to be.
