I was obviously a little tired last night hence photo's and lack of clarity. I spent an enjoyable hour or so tracking the bikes down, best was speaking to the son of the former owner. His dads favourite had been the R75/5 but his wife hadn't liked the seat so the R75/6 had been obtained for pillion work. The R100RS had been bought as a favour to a neighbour who was having mortgage payment troubles but who never repurchased the machine, it was never seriously used.
The son told me he had wanted 1500 pounds (for the three) but hadn't got near that ! All he had wanted ultimately was for his parents bikes to be cherished.
I did get to speak to the lad who has bought them, he wants to keep the RS for his own use and get as much as he can for the others. He already has the RS and the 75/5 running, not sure what precautions with oil etc were taken, he doesn't seem very familiar with older BMW's.
Anyway lesson learnt, do not hesitate.
