Random Guzzi Shit

This is the 2021 range..
No big twins, by that they mean the 1400's..

Methinks even any future models, will be on these platforms..
Of course we can hope..

To be honest if the V85TT is anything to go by from the ride I had, its well upto the job..

V85 / V9 Le Mans would be great..

As they say - time will tell..

Another fing to consider is, why invest heavily into new petrol engines...?
( Emissions are only going to get tighter..)
When electric is, surely the way forward.

Do we really need big engined motors, going forward.
With average speed camera's popping up everywhere, speed camera's etc.
General public / judiciary looking down their noses at speeding bikers & as biking as whole..

The cruiser market is big in the USA (beg pardon for stating the obvious) and Germany (where the top-selling Honda was the CMX500 Rebel). If the big Guzzi's haven't made an impression there, then they're stuffed.

I hope the 1400's become future cult bikes and retain their popularity. I find them pleasing on the eye even though I don't own one.

I have read that the big twins are going out of production this year and Guzzi are consolidating on the 900's.

Anyone heard differently?

My apologies beemerboy. I understand now that you where referring to the 1400 motors, and not just the V twin in general. Difficulties in getting it to meet euro 5 standards and poor sales ( I believe they only made 300 in 2 years) will be the end of it. It's a shame, I had a 1400 California for a while and it was a lovely bike to ride, but my God it was heavy to manhandle.
A new Le Mans based on the V85 motor, now wouldn't that be something and I'm sure many would lust after it. But how many who lusted after it would be able to ride it?

LM 6 ?

Doesn’t matter how many could ride it, only matters how many think they’d like to and can afford it

Yes, I noticed the 1400s have disappeared off the MG site. So basically it’s just the one engine in 3 models left - V7, V85TT and V9. Given most big bikes are nudging £20K and are probably out of most people’s reach (except via PCP) maybe it’s a smart move for the next few years. The V85 has done exceptionally well so it makes sense to keep doing what works. We keep thinking of these as midrange bikes but 850cc was a big bike engine not very long ago.

I was on the MG website last night and I was also wondering where the big cruisers were. The Adventure bike market is still buoyant and there is definitely a shift towards more mid-range bikes, modern classics and entry level bikes. I think this is where HD's decision to focus solely on their over expensive heavy cruisers is going to bite them in the ass, I see yesterday that they have recorded a big financial loss for the last quarter.

That engine looks remarkably compact, courtesy of the side valves I guess. To me it looks like they stretched a Guzzi frame and grafted on a bespoke fork.

It looks like it could be an everyday rider although stopping that lot with a single front disk might be interesting.

Wouldn't mind a truck load of them..

Just cannot be separated for a minute.

Knew the bathroom looked a little bland, better to do this than have a makeover, win win.
