Really cold on the hills today

. . who knows where King's Gully is, Ben Bulbin, & is it accessible these times?
Land owners were denying access in that region, some time back.

PJ
I believe it is accessible without issue from the Glencar side. The access issues were from the Gleniff or north side. You will remember that we did a lap of that valley on the bikes a few years ago - it was festooned with keep out signs - apparently the same mam (Bull McSharry) now welcomes walkers. Road to Damascus stuff.

KING'S GULLY . .

. . saw it on one of Dermot Somers' films some years back.
Check it out sometime; go in the Landrover from here?

when did we have FD 5:nenau:nenau
We didn't. FD5 was going to be Killybegs, or thereabouts depending on 'local advice'. I was hoping it was gonna be late April / early May but time is running out - I've only 2 'free' weekends between now & early June  so not enough time to do a recce or anything.

I'd be more than happy for Boirche to 'take over' FD5 (to wherever he wants) & I'll do FD6 later in the summer. The only rule to running a FishDash is that Bin has to be home to take part in it as it was his idea originally.

Boirche, knock yerself out :beerjug:

As this is all new to me a few pointers/rules etc would be welcome,so if some of you seasoned veterans :rob (cute hoors) would like to contribute im all ears:augie:D

Thanks Jockser, the real only rule is the chipper has to be within sight of the sea (maybe a lake would pass too...). I enjoy being there, and I enjoy reading about it if I am not there.

I hope we can have on on Sat or Sun 22/5 or 23/5, but if Richie's West Cork trip is on same weekend, the Dash will have to move!

The other rule is that the WW has to be on the ball weatherwise!
