The Hills Have Starts...

FFS what ARE you driveling on about. I dont even follow your language… are you using google translate or something. What a load of total bollox. I tried to keep my composure on here but with your absolute drivel even I cant hold myself back.
As my dear old man used to say…. It takes many flowers ….and all that…..
But your crap really even pushes my buttons…. Wish you would just take it elsewhere
No idea what he's said this time.... because he's on 'ignore'

Try it, it's pretty good. I don't like censorship, but that doesn't mean I want to waste my time with idiots. 🙂👍

first thing I disable on any bike is hill start try to help me drop the bike

anytime BM updated the whole bikes SW (7 times on my K1600GTL) it re-enables that unpleasant and irritating rubbish - and the GS911 seemed to turn it on whenever I scanned the bike too

so as you roll the bike out of your garage and let it do its thing engine off (but "recalcitrant wireless irritant key on" - as you had to get the steering lock off), if you applied a smidge of brake to gently slow down - "hill start try to drop my bike" - would smash the brakes full on and stop the bike instantly - at its a 380kg monster you were happy rolling around a slight curve intending to gently come to rest (and place a foot down) in 2 metres time (when you reached where you wanted to be) an unexpected instant stop came as a dangerous unbalancing nuisance that nearly got me 3 or 4 times

if you can't blip the throttle whilst modulating the front brakes from brushing the pads to a full on stoppie - park the thing and sell it

if you can't follow what is clearly written above, there is something wrong with your ability to read and understand things...

its not made up fictitious rubbish - its a feature of a badly implemented user aid, for halfwits - who seem to have never learnt to ride correctly - the fault above is triggered under certain conditions (AKA rolling backwards out of your garage engine off key on).

when Hill Start is disabled, the bike can be maneuvered safely, ridden safely and it behaves and operates normally. - With it enabled the bike becomes a dangerous liability (it gets re-enabled after BMW tools complete coding modules post i-level updates - to resolve junk badly written jokeware they forever peddle - usually tweaking rubbish 3 year old's have added trying to get it to work less badly - where they added more pointless /irritating features the marketing department believe they can charge fools for). I guess having it on helps BMW make money selling bodywork, aux lighting and engine bars

I note many critical responses don't appear to be competent bikers sharing their view - but rather come across as written in the exact way the training department expect dealerships to lie to customers !

Done. Sorry but this absolutely bollox this guy talks really annoys me. If he hates BMW so much then just leave the forum.

I feel the need to apologize to @Beemer Bob who asked a perfectly rational question and as a relative newbie is put off by the drivel from Borus….. which has irritated so many of us it’s turned into a pissing match
I apologize for getting riled and have now put Borus on Ignore.

Rant over

I have just come across this thread and would like to say I find “hill hold” great and very useful.
On my 1200gs it took to many revs to get it to release smoothly so I used to just dab the brake level to release it .
On my newly acquired gs its even better and a lot smoother when pulling away.
👍
