Recall

Hmmm I wonder if they'll do my first service too if I ask nicely?

I suspect they'll be trying to get through the recalls as quickly as possible so I'd suggest that it's unlikely, but you can always ask :-)

My bike is being picked up tomorrow by Norton and my mates the day after. We contacted them rather than waiting. Just saying.

Tried ringing Norton 5 times over the last couple days.

No answer or return of voice messages left.

I had no trouble getting through earlier in the week but I guess things have got more busy. Krazy Horse called me yesterday to check I had heard about the recall.

To add insult to injury my dealer and Norton have parted company after less than 5 months.

I’m glad this bike was so cheap 😂

Looks like I'll be using Teasdale's for service too.

Nice ride up there though.

I called Norton on Friday, and they confirmed the do not ride instruction. It affects all bikes 2021–Feb 2025 build dates, but it’s difficult to know the actual build date. I got mine in March but it was, I’m sure, built before then.

I said I was disappointed that’s had to call them, since if it wasn’t for the post up here I wouldn’t have known.

However, it is what it is. A service manager will call me back, apparently.

VIN numbers up to and including 0753

Had a call from Norton today. They said my bike is 5th in the queue and once it has been fixed and signed off will be back to me within a week.

Still not heard anything myself.

Still heard FA and I’ve called them 3 times. Reception staff are lovely, but I’ve had zero call backs or official notifications. Without t’interweb I’d still be riding it.

Looks like I’ll be missing the DGR this year 🙄

Same. Very underwhelmed.

I know they must be mega busy, but a call back should be a call back.

There has to be a point where the inability to use the bike becomes a justifiable reason for rejection.

You’d need a consumer lawyer to tell you when that is, (clearly sooner if it’s your only form of transport rather than a “hobby” vehicle) but you could ask them to provide alternative transport until your bike is sorted.

Or perhaps pay your pcp payments as a goodwill gesture.
