Hi ,
Just wondering if anyone might have any advice regarding gearing the 150gs.
I find when I'm riding around here in japan I very rarely am able to use 6th gear. Anything under 100kph really lugs the engine , The smoothness isn't really a consideration as at that speed 5th is a little buzzy but ok. I'd ideally like to be able to putter along at speeds 80-120 in 6th as there is a noticeable difference in smoothness. Having come from Harleys over the past 20 years or so I guess I really do ride like an old tart - I have actually been called much worse. Fully expecting the usual 'buy a harley' posts but I really like my GS
Roads here are great for 80-100 commuting with very little traffic - hellish expensive if caught over 140or so. Any help much appreciated.
Have read final drive swap threads on adv riders but just a tad - read overwhelmingly so - technical for me.
