removing mirrors 2002 1150gs

Good morning, could someone explain how to remove the mirrors please I have some Rizomas to fit

From another forum

Pry off the plastic cap on the housing at the base of the mirror's stem (located on top of the handlebar housing) to find the screw. Use an allen key to tighten or loosen the stem - it's threaded just the opposite of conventional.

The left side mirror is conventionally threaded and the nut is on the bottom of the stem. Go figure.

Not got one but blessed google comes up with this- no idea if helpful-m could be worth a try.

My 2001 1150 the mirror is a 7mm Allen screw, I had to buy one as not in the set. Good idea to keep one in your pocket for emergency use.
