Great....a full house. You have booked it in with Geoff haven't you? Look forward to seeing everyone on the day.

, well happy with the results so won't be bothering with headers/cans .

I'm really looking forward to getting this done on Saturday. I have taken Geoff's advice and replaced the K&N filter I had with an OEM paper filter.

I don't understand! Why did Geoff suggest taking the K&N out and replacing it with an OEM?![]()
I have no idea why and maybe I should have probed Geoff a bit further on that. I fitted one in the first place in my long running saga of trying to improve the low speed pick up which has bugged me ever since I had the bike. The K&N was fitted alongside the Wunderlich Fuel Controller which made a great difference to the fueling and response but one of the main reasons for getting the remap is so I can get rid of the fuel controller. Having spent a lot of money trying to sort the issue out over the years I'm going back to simplicity and having the remap done which should sort it for good. Having done this I don't really mind if it has a K&N or not unless of course there is an obvious advantage either way.
I can understand getting rid of the controller (no point in doubling up etc) but for the life of me can't understand the K&N, If anything I would have thought it would be more of a bonus than a minus.
Either way, being a tightarse and not having had one that long, unless it will severely hobble the system I'm not even going to mention it and leave it in (which is what I would have done if I hadn't seen your post).![]()
I will probably bring mine up with me just in case as its not difficult to switch.
Popped into Hilltop today to justify a re-map, and on the rollers it went.
After a run Geoff had a fettle and returned 105.53 bhp and 82.14 ft/ib of very usable torque, well happy with the results so won't be bothering with headers/cans .
It was running uber lean ,now running at full fat mixture as it should be and pulls like a fuckin train and some
Thanks again Geoff proper job with full results, the plaice in turkey I'm going to is Gullok !! So happy holidays yours and mine.
Enjoy your day tomorrow entertaining that bunch of tossers![]()
Have you posted that question yet or have you manned up
3/5/12
, so I decided not to bother, oem filter is the way to go me thinks
, it transforms the bike, the pick up is instant, and the power delivery is so smooth, it flies to the ton no problem, just pulls like a train
put em in afterA couple of Qus - Did you put new plugs in? What miles on yours?![]()
