Yep, as I thought, that looks much better in black. I've bought another carrier to paint, so I can use the bike while it's being done. Once that ones done and on the bike, I'll get the original one painted and sell it on here if anyone's interested.

Mr. Nutty and the collective,
I am also thinking of having these painted but was going to have mine done satin black.
This was mainly for fear of not getting a good colour match with the rear subframe.
Any advice on paint codes etc. greatly received.
Also if anyone else has gone down the satin black route how did they look?

heatshield is carbon fibre (supplied with the Remus system)
The one Crotchrocket has looks like a wrap. Unfortunately with the full Akra, they supply a stainless shield, which looks cack. I'll probably get that painted at the same time as the other bits.
What about vinyl dipping - they can do car engine parts like cam covers, so might take the heat?

Sounds expensive.![]()
) Have you vinyl wrapped your heatshield? I'd have thought that would melt, if you have.
