Removing rear carrier

Yep, as I thought, that looks much better in black. I've bought another carrier to paint, so I can use the bike while it's being done. Once that ones done and on the bike, I'll get the original one painted and sell it on here if anyone's interested.

Or u could give it to a worthy cause, like.................. moi :)

The infil panels are Ilmberger carbon fibre, painted/vinyl applied to match.

If I got the stainless bits powder coated, I'd probably have dropped it by now and started the endless cycle of recoating them to keep them black.
With the bare stainless, they can be polished up if they get scratched.

My mum told me to always accept gifts with grace, giving is always better than receiving so actually I'm doing you a favour....... I'm so nice

You certainly are!:D

Rear footrest hangers

Mr. Nutty and the collective,

I am also thinking of having these painted but was going to have mine done satin black.

This was mainly for fear of not getting a good colour match with the rear subframe.

Any advice on paint codes etc. greatly received.

Also if anyone else has gone down the satin black route how did they look?

👍

Wozza did ours he couldn't get a perfect match but it's pretty near, he painted one black first but it just didn't look right. I think it a jaguar colour he used. Look at my pic on the show us ur TB and u can see them together.

heatshield is carbon fibre (supplied with the Remus system)

The one Crotchrocket has looks like a wrap. Unfortunately with the full Akra, they supply a stainless shield, which looks cack. I'll probably get that painted at the same time as the other bits.

What about vinyl dipping - they can do car engine parts like cam covers, so might take the heat?

Hot exhaust parts want to be ceramic coated for longevity. Seen a few done on Harleys and they come out well

Nutty,

All this painting and faffing with what's supposedly a special edition bike from the factory ??

I think it's time for a song ....
