Somewhere out there.
I'm going to change my rid whilst my bike is off the road. Question is previously I have removed the screen, clock cover, lights and the top bolt that secures the clocks subframe.
That's where I got stuck. The bottom fixings to the subframe look like they just pull out in the workshop manual but it's not really clear. Is this right as all seemed very stiff when I tried but didn't want to risk breakage. Or do the bottom two fixings unbolt and then I unscrew the rid from the subframe?
Thanks

bottom fixings on my 02 GS are long rubber fixings which just push into hole,
they just pull out but can be a bugger to come out.

As the man said - they can be a little stiff but support the rear of the frame with your fingers and wiggle till they come free. I refit mine with a little copper slip so that I know it will not bind and come free easy next time I have to remove it.
