Can anyone help a friend of mine please. He's looking at buying a secondhand Genesis can for his 1150R but only wants a road legal one. The seller of said item doesn't know if its road legal or not!

Does anyone know if the Genesis cans were either legal or non legal or perhaps you had a choice when you bought them new? I don't seem to be able to find a Remus website to check on this for him. Any help appreciated.

Genesis were NOT road legal and are not made anymore as I understand it. Shame as I thought they sounded great. I suggest Remus Revolution with baffle out. Nice.............:P

Incorrect. They were available in either road-legal or race variants, in alloy, titanium and, I believe, carbon. The road-legal should be "e" marked somewhere on the can. The race version had "Not for road use" marked on the end of the can (easily removed with enough Autosol!).

I have a road legal Titanium Genisis.

Isnt the race cans baffle straight through as you look down the end and the road legal baffle is angled up to make room for all the plumbing to get the noise down?   ............Or am I talking Bollrocks as usual.

I think the closest my Genesis race got to a baffle was the cardboard box it came in!!
