Hello everyone. Have fitted Tobinators to my 1200GS but still get a lot of windblast. I am just over six feet tall. Does the bigger screen solve this problem?

Dave check thread "GSA screen on GS getting cheaper"

If you can justify the expense of putting the GSA screen on your GS then the answer is a HUGE YES. If not there are loads of threads on altrernative screen set-ups.... They all have their supporters and knockers.....

In honesty its a bit of a minefield. I'm just over 6' -15.5st using a Corbin seat and now the GSA screen.... I'm extremely happy with it.

I have just fitted a wunderlich ergo screen and added the winglets that are on the 12adv. I will take some pics after breakfast and add some observations, cheers

Have the ADV and find the screen is nearly there, but not quite!
I'm 6'2 and seat in high position, and if I duck about 6 inches it's perfect, but windo when sitting normally.
Have some Torbinators and a Touratech Wind deflector on order, so will let you know when I get them fitted.

I tried tobinator on OEM screnn but did'nt work for me.
Got a Ceebailys screen from Sportouring and that did the job, so good I could ride without earplugs in a pool of inert air.

:)

Had the same problem, I'm also 6'2, ended up with a homemade solution:

After having raised the handlebars 3,5cm I had to put the windscreen in the highest posision for it to clear the handlebars at full stop. This caused some buffeting. If I lowered my head a couple of inches the buffeting disappeared so I figured I'd make a windscreen extender. Bought some 3mm plexiglass, cut it to fit, heated it and bent it into shape. Fastened it using two 4mm bolts, nuts, washers and rubber o-rings.

Have a look here:

Just fitted the High Widescreen from Nippy Normans, it's about 15 cm higher than stock. It looks a bit like asail but seems to make high speed cruising quieter and gets rid of the high vibe buffet. Unfortunately it also gets rid of a lot of cooling air but I guess that's to be expected

Thanks, I am 6'4" and have the tall NippYNorman screen, low seat. It's an improvement compared to the standard one but still very noisy.
