REPLICA MARLBORO PAINT JOB

Hang on to all those putting in requests for paint jobs.

Get behind me in the queue. Simon took away all the bits of my R80/7 nearly a year ago:eek: and hasn't even started on that one yet so you other buggers can sod right orf!:D

He makes some excuse about not being able to get "Porn Star Pink" paint.

I might have to settle for another colour?

Hay Sycomoto how about painting my HP2E as works rep, and a HPN Marlboro baja racer paint job on liliths new rally bike is finished:augie

Why?

Just a silly question.
Why on earth would anyone wish to pay lots of money to become a free mobile hoarding for a hard drug company?

You are right just a silly question..
Paying homage to history of Airhead Rally Racing.
It's probably a good job no ones asked for the Playboy colour's as this would probably really offend your Feminist rights side.
Just stick with the R1200RT as that's a nice PC bike:ronno

Yes, but you have not answered the question, to my mind anyway.

sorry for the delay

some little shit broke into my shed the other day trying to steal the boys minimoto's:mad: luckly they'd been moved so nothing worth nicking:rolleyes:
Anyway this week i've been beefing up the security so they'll need a bulldozer to get in there now:eek
anyway, i'll be picking up the stencils later this week and i'll get on with it:thumb2

Tank Prep

Bit boring this bit but needs to be done. Stripped all the old paint off the tank and using an orbital sander with 180 gade paper i roughed up the surface to give the paint something to grip to. Once done i mixed some bondo filler to tidy up the joints and mould lines and also to fill in any chinks in the surface of the tank. After a good rubdown i've now got some nice smooth edges and were pretty much chip free. then the whole job was given a coat of plasic adhesive paint followed by 3 coats of grey primer. The next job is to sand back the primer, and bondo any other marks or chips i find that are too big to be hidden by the primer. anywho, i'm off fer a bath as i'm covered in paint and dust:thumb2

Si, I would be inclined to put some bolts in the threaded holes . the four on the top and also the ones for the fuel taps, easier than trying to clear them out afterwards.:rob
