I need advice on reproofing my HG Tuareg Rallye LC3 suit, which has not been worn due to me becoming a fat bastard.
Well, I have lost all of the weight - the LC3 suit now fits, but smells bad after 2+ years in a carrier bag.
As I recall, the outer suit has little if any waterproofing - I do have the liners, which are Sheltex.
Mrs Chopps is a big fan of natural soap flakes to wash, and Nikwax TX-Direct to reproof.
Is there any point in a gentle wash for the outer - is there any original waterproofing to retain ?
Likewise, is there any point in proofing the Rallye LC3 outer ?
As the HG website has gone to heaven, I am struggling to get any specs for this suit.
Here are some pics, taken today to make sure I have described the correct suit.
All useful advice will be gratefully received - and NO, upgrading to a better suit is not an option for me at the moment.
