Looking for a little help
When it come to technical stuff, i`m a bit of a desert:confused:

My reserve fuel light stopped working last week.

Could this be as simple as needing a replacement blub ?

Be good to know before i bring it into the local dealer, and get stung:mcgun

Thanks

See if it's the same as one of the other warning lights eg ignition, and swap it over. And if Roberts your uncle, you'll be able to see, literally, if it's the filament that's u/s or something more expensive

You've not forgotten that you filled up, eh?

Could be the float arm catching/sticking inside the tank, although I've not heard of this on the 650.

If the bulb is OK the fault is in the float switch or the wiring/connections.The white plug in the pic connects to the switch in the tank so if you disconnect it from the tank and temporarily bridge the two terminals (in the plug) with a short length of insulated wire (with the ignition on but engine not running!) the warning lamp should light. If not,the fault is in the wiring.
Having said all that my light stopped working a couple of years ago,I never did find the fault before it 'cured' itself about a week later.........
