Hi peeps, looks like I'm running rich. There is the smell of fuel and lots of carbon deposit on my 2000 1150.

Bike goes like fook though :D:D:D

Now, it can't be that bad cause I can still get almost 200 to a tank and slightly over when cruising.

What's the likely culprit, could the lambda sensor need a quick clean?

The only other option is to use the noxious fumes of unburnt fuel to sting the eyes of anyone who catches me up and looks like they ride faster :thumb (there'll be quite a few though, might increase NHS debts).

Pops and bangs like a b'stard on overrun too which is off putting

stick a CO meter in the exhaust. it should be about 0.5 IIRC. if it's about 8.0, your lambda probe might be disconnected/shagged.

only a suggestion, not a definitive answer.

Eerr - When did you get back, don't recall reading your ride report:augie

Check for an air leak on the exhaust system, probably before the Lambda sensor......

Just a guess....

When a trip becomes such a nightmare that you end up wanting to sell your GS, it's best to keep it to yourself :D:D:D

Trust you had a good one :thumb

No air leaks in the exhaust that I can tell above the normal piss poor Y piece fit.

Anyone got a spare lamda sensor that I can try????:bow:bow:bow
