Ride out for a pie

The route off the A7, through innerliethen and st Mary's loch is one of my favourites
I'm neurotic about being hit by a golf ball when I go that route. What a bonkers idea to run a public road through the middle of a golf course, or rather build a golf course on both sides of a road.

There's another one I've used a few times is almost opposite the cafe. It takes you over the hills to Newcastleton. Some nice rides with good views, and quiet roads.
We’ve ridden that road a few times. We’ve also (and will be in July) used the cafe for breakfast on trips around Scotland.

Decent place for a nice breakfast up there please. In or around Moffat.

The Buccleugh might sell breakfast to a non resident if you ask nicely and mention other folk staying there?

The Rumblin Tum is a nice cafe on the main street, and there's a smaller one just a few doors away. Often stop there for lunch or morning coffee on my way back from Auld Reekie.

Cracking breakfast in the Famous Star Hotel....the one your staying in. 😬
I did txt you but with your fat fingers you probably can't send texts.
Are we going Thursday or Friday ?
I've forgotten.

I often stop for lunch there (not had the pies though) it's part of my regular route to Edinburgh, via Innerleithen and Herriot. Call in at Samye Ling Tibetan temple for a brew, loads of hippy chicks hanging out. I stopped off one winter riding up and had an invite to stop over with two young ladies (I was younger, slimmer and fitter back then)....I didn't due to a pressing engagement, but knowing my luck they would have been ladyboys or serial killers :D
ladies, ladies??;)
