Rider power survey

Sadly I agree, to many adverts, not enough content,
:agree

I used to read it when it started as they avoided the usual sport bike super test that the rest of the EMAP stable re-gurgitated in all titles.

It appealed to the "ordinary" road rider, but then as usual it became just another pile of EMAP shite.

As for RAINBOW. I bought my Quest fitting kit off them and their service was excellent. If I lived near them rather than in one-(new)-dealer Kent I'm sure I'd use them more often. Instead I'll continue going to France and using Touring Europe in Arras.

Bit surprised that Ocean slipped down from overall winners to 6th and just behind CWs.

Don't think they have done anything different and staff always take every effort to sort you out even if you are a difficult customer like me!

I wonder how many responses they need to get a true picture? Can the results be altered by just one customer who is not happy? Probably fair to say that any dealer that finishes in top 3 in their region must be up to scratch.

BMW dealers tend to be in top sections although they are unlikely to score top marks for cheap used bikes etc.

personal experience

I have dealt with Rainbow since 1994.Having been in to Rainbow @ sheffield and discussed my desired bike k1100 lt.Shaun came up with a better deal than closer bm dealers. My bike at the time was a 1200 sportster,Shaun had a buyer for it and personally rode a demo bike to whitby and took the sportster back to sheffield.
A couple of weeks passed by and the new lt arrived, it had a tiny scratch on the fork leg it, i was told it would be sorted at the first service which it was.
In2006 i ordered a new 1200gs and had a battery problem which was replaced under warrenty with no problems.

Rainbow has expanded over the years and good luck to them,Shaun and his team have given me exellent service. Long may they continue:thumb2
