SCOTLAND has the most important decision to make in 300 years regarding it's independence. People want to know all the facts.
Unfortunately, the much trusted BBC is not playing by the rules. It is a state broadcaster paid for by the people of the UK and is therefore required by charter to provide non-biased information. The BBC has been accused by many of breaking this charter by misleading the public in order to influence the decision of the Scottish people. It would take some time to explain all the bias here (misquoting, negativity, skewing data, omission etc), so here's the clincher to get people started on questioning the BBC.
The political blogs on the BBC news website are written by 'experts' and are analysis of current issues within the UK; as these are opinions they are much more open to bias. The main blogs are ALL open to comment by the public. Unless however you are trying to comment on Scottish issues, where shortly after the announcement of the referendum on independence, comments have been disabled. (edit: to clarify, Scottish IP addresses are not blocked. The comment facility on Scottish issues has been disabled)
The only conclusion we can come to is that this was imposed due to the many, many comments on each article discrediting many of the BBCs 'facts' about the economic case for independence. Many comments provided direction to more accurate documents and information to provide readers.
There is much change needed at the BBC, but first let's stop the CENSORSHIP which has absolutely NO PLACE in a modern western society! Let the people comment and debate to give them a more rounded knowledge come decision time in 2014. And let the world know about the censorship in our STATE-run media.
Until the BBC changes it's ways please let this spread far and wide.

There is a method to Toddy's madness, the idea is to shout down and ignore anyone who disagrees with the Nats or questions how an independent Scotland would operate and fund itself.

I am starting to think the referendum will be a very divisive close run thing. It will take some very strong minded people to withstand another 6 months of the Nats' relentless propaganda. The repercussions for whoever loses the referendum will be interesting.

I was listening to the radio this morning about an ex Al Queda guy, and the importance they place on the internet to get their message of radicalisation out.
The Yes campaign are obviously in a similar camp.
When Standard Life made it's comment last week it was deluged by cyber-nats on its social media sites with all sorts of bile.
The BBC is obviously avoiding this by disabling the comments on SI articles.

Toddy. Post something written by you, not cut and pasted from somewhere else. I challenge you to write 3 lines, or more if you like, explaining why you want to vote yes. If you can't do that then stop pasting this propaganda. Its not working on us thinking people and its getting very boring.

Why so amusing? In truth it doesn't matter to me what Scotland does and I think it would be possible for them to make a go of being independent if they decide to give it a go but where are the people to lead you to your Scottish utopia? If half of what the Nats claim is true they would have a serious Whitepaper and a plan for currency and a central bank to control the economy and everything an independent country needs to be independent; but they haven't have they? As a neutral they seem to offer endless empty emotive rhetoric and Toddy is a good example of how they operate.
You are obviously a sensible bloke, why don't you explain how an independent Scotland will operate without a currency outside Europe and how it will fund itself without relying on wishful thinking, bluster or copy and paste? I am all ears and waiting to be convinced

The good news is the 47% will probably not have time to vote between watching Jeremy Kyle on their 40inch TVs, picking up their daily script for methadone and going to the bingo so the No camp need not worry. Any that do make it to the polling station won't put their cross in any box because their legal aid solicitor has told them never to sign any official documents without a lawyer present.
The reason that only 20% in the least deprived areas would vote yes is because they can see behind the SNP rhetoric of making Scotland a more equal society. It has nothing to do with equality and everything to do with envy. And the really sad bit is that it would not work. You can redistribute wealth all you want and there will still be poor people and richer people because some will always piss their money against the wall and some will always live within their means. 10 years on and one group will be less deprived and the other lot will be deprived and screaming that they deserve to be made more equal.
If you aspire to live in a less deprived area join the 71% voting no and bank the tax savings that will come your way.
