RISE NOW AND BE A NATION AGAIN !

Toddy,I see you still evade the posters questions of furnishing us with your own thoughts instead of the same old side step & posting shite. If this is you not supporting any particular party your posts seem very one sided rather than well rounded.
A picture tells a thousand words mmm this must sum you up nicely.

I think the indies are beginning to realize that they are a busted flush.....every day brings new reality home to them and the voters they hope to fool with their (uncosted) promises...

Thanks for your interest but I'm not even a member of any political party.
My motivation is to try and counter the negative tosh and drivel from the old Tories on this site that insult my fellow Scots (and people of other nationalities).
A picture tells a thousand words.......

That's great...counter the negative tosh and drivel...tell us what YOU think..tell us where YOU'RE vision of an independent Scotland takes us...tell us where YOU think the cash is coming from. So far all we have is your extreme left wing agenda...tell us how that will help Scotland when it has failed everywhere else...without exception...in your own words...Pictures might do it for the Beano, but not for something as important as this...we want FACTS...

It all seems to be about ££££££££
Cowardice of the highest order IMHO
Imagine being offered a whole country , Your OWN country
Then Quibbling over a few pounds :nenau

Sorry...but words fail me....without the pounds(groats euros roubles) the whole thing fails...got to get real!!!!

And for the AVOIDANCE of doubt my normal politics are a a LONG way to the RIGHT of most of the posters on here BUT ,,,,There is no point in calling the place Scotland if it is not actually the land of the SCOTS which are are separate people living in a different place from the 50 odd million of the people in ENGLAND where the English live .
It all seems to depend on how you perceive yourself
Although there is no obvious Geographicall break in the main British Isle
where the 2 nations begin and end. We are 2 distinct nations .
If it's decided on on a vote that we are all Brits then as a democrat ,
then so be it.
But it seems to me as as a World travelled Scot ,we are giving up something of GREAT value, because
Lots of other people perceive us as as A separate entity of significant worth :bounce1

Just listen to yourself and take a reality pill. I have more in common with a guy in Manchester than I do with a crofter on the western isles who does not even speak the same language as me. England and Scotland share a common language, a monarch and we have fought alongside each other in the Napoleonic war, 2 world wars and all the various conflicts since then. The border between Scotland and England is an artificial line on a map that could just as easily been drawn 50 miles further north or south. Using your line of reasoning Sutherland deserves to be independent from the Kingdom of Fife. I can be Scottish and still be part of Great Britain and be proud of our shared and individual achievements.

They only way I will be voting to rip up what we have together is if I will be richer as an independent Scot. The Yes camp have singularly failed to come up with sound reasons to make me believe that will be the case so my decision on referendum day is easy.

Oh FFS Toddy, you even have to copy/paste your post title from the title of the first article, but at least the dots are your own. I can find you just as many links from No supporters if that's how you want to operate.

Boatman, you said earlier that people are quibbling over a few pounds - it isn't a few pounds for individuals that worries me - it is the threat of a totally bankrupt country that will not be able to function at all thanks to these unfunded (apparently, as there has been no detail produced) pipe dreams currently being thrown around publicly. The whole argument does revolve around cash, because without enough of it things very quickly go pearshaped.

Symon, as I've repeatedly pointed out, you are not being offered independence, the plan is to jump out of the frying pan of the UK into the fire of the EU. The EU agenda as stated by several very senior people is a Federal States of Europe.

The entire SNP plan is fraudulent, playing on the patriotic desire of the Scots people for the return of their own country with the implication that hey will have complete control over their future. They won't, its a lie.

If you were told that for Scotland it was the status quo or the Greece (as it is now) of the north would that seem as appealing? Well educated intelligent people reduced to food banks and desperation, folk frightened as to whether they will have food tomorrow or even shelter next week? Unable to pay their bills and selling anything that they can to survive. Skilled professionals marching, demonstrating in the streets, to highlight their desperation whilst the EU dictates what steps they take and their options stifled by the fact that they are in the Euro zone. The wealthy and ruling sector of course are protected!

We will only be in Europe if the Scottish people want to be/ stay in Europe
Which may or may not be the case .
I will vote for out at the earliest opportunity :thumb2

neither Scottish labour or the SNP are offering a vote on EU membership so it looks like you are in for a long wait. Vote No then for a tory UK government and you will get a chance to vote the same way as me in a referendum on Europe. We could even start a thread on here supporting each other's point of view. Go on you know you want to.

+1 Bennysdad. Which Scottish political party is offering the electorate a vote on EU membership? None that I know of. The SNP say they want all power to be in Scotland and contradict themselves by wanting to be in the EU but in the event of a Yes vote people will have no say except for electing the least bad party when called upon to decide who should govern.

Mibbies a wee bit extreme :D
