Fitted a Roadlok to bike earlier today and having locked, unlocked and wheeled it enough to try it out satisfactorily put the blanking plug in before travelling.

Having arrived at destination tried to unlock and remove the blanking plug and the key will only turn very slightly (1/8th of a turn) and the plug won't come out .

To anyone that has fitted one of these how far does the key normally turn please?

Cheers, Jonno

They can be an occasional pain (as in I had the same today)..........

It's the type of lock/key ~ I think the pins can move out of place slightly. Gentle inserting and turning the key as it goes in eventually lines them up and then you can unlock (the key needs to be pretty much all the way in to the cylinder).

Keep the lock lubricated with dry lock lubricant and it happens a lot less frequently.

I found the shoulder on the blank plug very tight and would not come out, used a file to take the edge of the shoulder and all is well.

That did the trick Andres, I must remember, more haste less speed, the gentler touch!!

Cheers :beerjug:
